We are currently organising the annual PC Best Front Garden competition. The Environment Group members are: Cllrs. Janet King/lead, Jill Harvey and Kathryn Crockett who are all keen on protecting all of the natural aspects of the parish. The main areas of responsibility are: • Conservation and development of public gardens, woods and other open spaces Over the last few years, we have developed and protected the Rose Hill Wildflower Verge, opposite The Holy Trinity Church, Lickey, and ensure that all the species peculiar to this area is allowed to flower and not mown. This designated patch is a really beautiful sight when in full bloom. Much work has been conducted on the Greenfield Bank location where PC Councillors, along with the help of the Community Payback Scheme, have rejuvenated a particularly neglected rough bank. A clearance and planting programme has now produced a delightful place to admire and relax in. We hope that you will find our work interesting and if you have been inspired to become involved as a volunteer, do please contact any of the group councillors. ![]() |
