On 9th April 2022, Lickey and Blackwell Parish Council (LBPC) organised its Annual litter pick, which was well attended by both young and adults.

On 23rd May 2022, LBPC organised a Resident’s Tea Party at The Old Rose and Crown Hotel. There were talks on healthy living, general tips on gardening followed by a sing-a-long to Cats Chorus.

LBPC organised its yearly Best Front Garden Competition, which was judged by the councillors and the residents. The link here shows the gardens visited and the final winners chosen by the councillors on the Communications group.

LBPC in association with Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Councils has set up a weekly Blackwell Gentle Walk since April 2022. It is led by a volunteer walk leader and upto ten residents take part in these walks which end up with a cup of tea and biscuits in the community hall. There are positive outcomes for the residents which include physical activity and community engagement.

LBPC is actively involved in engaging the community in setting up the Environment policy, where two panel members were local residents.

LBPC has carried out Electric Vehicle Charge Survey and explained the Carbon Footprint of the Parish and encouraged the residents to undertake their personal footprint.

LBPC actively encourages Local Community Groups to apply for grants. The grant applications for 2022 which were approved are detailed  here Grant applications 2022.
